About Me

English has always been my passion! This is the reason why, after more than eight years in the banking sector, I decided to become a translator and started studying English part-time. In order to be able to make professional use of my knowledge, I left banking and started working in other industries.

During the subsequent nine years as an executive management assistant, I was responsible for all tasks related to translations English | German. Thus I was able to gather extensive experience and an in-depth knowledge of all important business areas and commercial processes in German Mittelstand companies (SMEs), such as management, accounting, controlling, marketing and sales.

Having an insider's understanding of the inner workings of the business and financial world sets me apart – I am not just familiar with the business terminology, I know how business gets done.

From the "Mittelstand" to being an entrepreneur

In 2004, I passed the state examination for translators and started my boutique translation business. Since then I have been working as a freelance translator for clients all over the world.

My fields of expertise are business and finance – exactly what I know best! Continuous education helps me to stay up-to-date in order to be able to offer the best support to my clients. Most recently, I completed two multi-week courses in FinTech, cryptocurrencies, crowdfunding, and blockchain technology.

I am a member of the German Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators (BDÜ) as well as of the American Translators Association (ATA). I actively supported the BDÜ as treasurer and president at the BDÜ Baden-Württemberg for many years.
